Our Story
George Burgess started as a bespoke cabinet maker in 1975 creating interiors for kitchens, bedrooms and offices. To showcase their furniture they also had studios in Leigh-on-Sea and Woodford Green. Mary Burgess joined the business at this time where she managed the studios.
In 1985 they opened a Studio in Rayleigh. In 1999 Joanne McQuillan, their daughter, joined the expanding design team. They now import kitchens direct from Germany, where they visit regularly, also supplying quality English furniture.
Their bespoke furniture is managed by George and they use local craftsmen who assist them. Having been in business now for some 40 years there is nothing that Roman Kitchens can’t achieve from the design stage through to completion. Each project is managed individually.
